National and International Merit Scholarships (Prestigious Scholarships) are awards with numerous and wide-ranging benefits. In order to qualify for most of these scholarships, you must be nominated by a UCLA selection committee. Therefore, the UCLA deadline for nomination is typically ONE MONTH prior to the official scholarship deadline. Please see below for more detailed information about each scholarship, including important deadlines, as well as eligibility and application criteria.
Other prestigious scholarships, such as the Fulbright Grants for Graduate Study Abroad and Mellon Fellowships in the Humanities, are administered by UCLA’s Graduate Division.
